How do you get past the prompt “ recipient fax number @

That is a fair example of a "hanging out there without any context" query.

Possible answer:

You do not "bypass" a requirement for a Fax number when you are sending a Fax.

and

Mobile Fax also requires a recipient -- you cannot send a fax using Mobile Fax unless you enter a receiving number.

The answer assumes you are indeed sending a Fax as described and not trying to do something else (Print, Scan, other).

There's likely more to the story --
