HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer

My printer was successfully installed but the color ink cartridge was not functioning properly.  After repeated attempts of aligning and cleaning the paper started jamming and I chose to reset to factory settings.  I naively thought starting over would clear up the problems. Now, I’m not getting consistent messages.   Except for the persistent notice I need to finish setting up the printer. Which, btw, says Canceling when I press OK.  There was one odd message that stated the settings were not the same as initially set up and to press Continue if this was expected.  So I did.  Nothing happened. On initial setup the printer did everything, including connecting to Wi-Fi,  After the reset the password was required. It does repeat that I should finish installation on the app but there are no prompts or instructions on the app.  I’m starting to think this puppy is going back to HP.
