I need to install the drivers for my HP Envy printer. Can't use HP Smart because it can't find the printer. Printer setup is fine and all test pass on the Wireless Network Test Results. There are no HP Envy drivers in my system. If I could just install them I could get this thing to print. Help please!

@K0HYD, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Make sure the printer and the MAC are connected to the same wireless network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the MAC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
- Also, check with your Internet service provider if your router is able to forward 'Bonjour packets'.
Perform a ping test to check the connectivity
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer
- On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box
- Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings
- Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost
- Note: There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post.
If 0% loss, install the printer using AirPrint driver as shown in step 2 of this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Big Sur is in macOS beta phase please check again for a driver when Apple has officially released the macOS version to the public.

Thank you Kumar0307!
Your solution worked great the first time I tried it. It's great to print again. I missed my trusty HP printer. I look forward to the actual drivers for MacOS 11 Big Sur. Please advise when they are available.

Could you tell me how to set up HP Laser Jet Pro M476nw printer on Big Sur. I upgraded the operating system because Catalina rejected all HP drivers - now I am stuck in the same problem with Big Sur.

I posted a question 3 days ago and have not had a reply. It is bad enough that HP messes up and tells Apple to unistall its drivers - it is inexcusable not to respind to customers whose printers then do not work. Get your act together and send a reply or refund me the full cost of my printer.

I have this exact the same model, after upgrading to Big Sur, I could not find my printer in my system preferences anymore. Called tech support but couldn't get a live agent unless you've gone through online chat and has created case number due to problem not resolved. Feeling helpless with so many works need to be printed ASAP.

Maybe we should start a class legal action against HP as we now all have useless printers and the cause is their fault in erroneously asking Apple to delete the printer libraries from their operating system, which they have admitted. So we have an identifiable loss and an admission of negligence. It also seems that HP is dead to their own community support problems and is refusing to answer these questions. Who's in?
