Hello,

I have an old HP OfficeJet pro 8020 series here.
For example, email addresses are entered for scanning to an email address. How do I get them deleted?
A friend's email address no longer exists, so sending the (currently unknown) PIN doesn't work either.
A "cold reset" of the printer (according to the instructions) didn't help either, the email addresses were still there afterwards.
Well, how can I delete it completely?

Thanks and greetings
Markus

Changing or removing the email addresses is described on page 106 of the user manual

To access your printer’s HP ePrint settings, visit HP Connected

When i clicked on HP Connected it just went to the HP Smart download so I am guessing the HP Smart is needed to reprogram the addresses.

You might also try the EWS app

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

I do not recommend the reset as you will lose all your email addresses and have to reconnect.

Let me know if you want to do that.

Unfortunately, the old email addresses are still included in the list after removing/deactivating and reactivating the web services.
At least the printer's email address remained the same (after a long, noisy preparatory work to print it out).

The eprint address listed is that of my other printer (the trick to printing a copy directly to the laser printer).

How can I remove the @fau.de address? The PIN is no longer known. The address no longer exists.

PS:

The funny thing is that both printers are listed in the HP Smart app. No printers are found in the online account at portal.hpsmart.com (of course, the login details are identical).
The printers are listed in the “HP Warranty Portal” (as is my notebook).

If it cannot be deleted then change it (Ändern) to a non-existent address.

FaunHunters@fau.de

Possibly you may need to do that reset if above does not work.

[edit]

The above are identified as account selections, not just email addresses unless I am mistaken.

Are you wanting to remove the accounts?

You need to log in as administrator and go to account maintenance to remove those accounts.

Otherwise reset and then re-enter the emails you need

That was my first idea too. For example, change the address to one that I can use myself. But the PIN is also needed for this... the PIN is needed to do anything on this "accounts".

There is no admin account, the printer is "open".

Edit:

I also tried a reset (factory settings, which also deletes the web services) with Admin, that doesn't work either, the @fau.de address is still in the list.

Firmware from the printer is almost brand new (there is nothing newer): MALBECPP1N001.2442A.00 from 2024-10-17

I can't find anything like "account maintenance" either on the printer itself or in the web interface.
