How to Deactivate / Disable / Undo HP+

Help! During set up of my HP Envy 6000 I mistakenly registered my device for HP+ when I moved into my new home. MISTAKE!

I had compatible cartridges installed, but are now useless. Even though I have HP cartridges as backup, I still want to have the option to use whatever cartridges I want. I do not want to be locked in to HP's ink. How do I disable this? I tried reaching people on the phone and service is "unavailable". The virtual assistant won't connect me to a real person. Where is the HP support?
