HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello to all,

I am a bit desperate with the following matter, and from what i found out many other users too  : (

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8210.

I am trying to access from HP Smart the Advanced Printer Settings on the Embedded Web Server.

The same happens even if i access the Embedded Web Server directly from https://192.168.2.2/

In the Advanced Printer Settings some settings are locked asking for username and password.

1. I have tried the one that i remembered. WORKED-NO.

2. I have tried the default HP answer for this, username: admin, password: blank. WORKED-NO

3. The thing that i found out and tried was on the printer menu:

Network > Restore Network Settings

In order to reset the password of the Embedded Web Server (as it says).

Again the username & password dialogue.

Used username: admin, password: blank. WORKED-NO

4. Somewhere i saw read there is a sticker with a PIN. This PIN could be the default password!

I ve checked down, on the sides, on the back, inside in the cartridges, inside the printer cover, back. Nothing Nowhere!

5. I have tried Partial Reset & Full Reset with no result.

//

Is there another default username & password?

Is anyone out there who probably knows a solution to the matter, or simply something that can help?

Thanks a lot community! I feel like that i throw a closed bottle to the ocean!

Hi @Aardvark00,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with resetting the EWS page for your printer.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to perform a factory reset.

Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.

1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.

2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.

3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.

Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hello!

Thank you for your answer.

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8210.

So i did the following steps:

1. Factory Reset

To make a factory reset, i followed your link but the printer is not listed.

So i followed this

Restore factory defaults on most HP DeskJet and ENVY printers

Restore factory defaults using a DeskJet or ENVY printer control panel.

1. Open the cartridge access door.

2. On the control panel, press and hold the Power and Wireless buttons for at least 3 seconds.

3. After about 20 seconds, close the cartridge access door.

Result: I didn't seem to do nothing.

What i did: Pressed Back button 4-5 times to view the hidden Support Menu

There i did a Semi-Full Reset (the other option is partial reset)

2. Uninstalled the HP smart app and did a restart.

3. Enabled Wi-Fi setup on printer as set it as always.

4. Enabled Bluetooth in laptop.

5. Re-Installed HP smart app and searched and added the Printer

6. I entered Embedded Web Server through HP smart app, sadly the options are locked and again the same with username and password

7. I entered Embedded Web Server through IP on a browser, sadly the options are locked and again the same with username and password

No results at all..

Please advice..

Thank you!
