I’m in the uk. I’ve set up an HP6100e printer via the HP app on my iPhone. I’m not technical. Can someone give me step by step details how to add another user. He has a Google phone and a computer. Do I do it via my app?  Please help. Also is it possible to speak to a human at HP for help. The AI chat is no help.

You mentioned a google phone which go by the name "pixel".  I do not have one but I have installed printers on android phones.

 

Here is HP's official guide for android mobile devices and a video is included.

 

Do not call any phone numbers shown in any YouTube video or revealed by a Bing or Google search unless it is an HP site or video. If you see a phone number on this forum, it was likely posted by a scammer and hopefully it will be deleted by the moderators before anyone calls it.

 

There is also a nice video on youtube that shows how to do that. 

 

To print from a smartphone you can usually use the "forward" icon.  For an iPhone it works as follows:


This is my printable list for an iPhone

  • Email: Click the forward button and scroll down to the print command. Both my HP and Canon show up
  • Notes: Click the forward button and select either Print or HP App to print.
  • Messages. Cannot print them. I forward as email to my PC to print a message. If the message has an image it can be saved first and then printed
  • Photos: Click the forward button then look for "Print"
  • Attached PDFs: click the forward button and then select "Print"

 

Human help:  Free help is available for any product or device that is under warranty.  This applies to ink, not just the printer.  You should be able to use a serial number to contact an agent and not have to pay for support. In addition to paid support there is also HP smart friend and you might consider asking Microsoft's Copilot

How to contact an HP agent:
Sign in to your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.
