Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Please follow these steps:

Change the language through the control panel

Adjust the printer language through the control panel menu. These steps guide you through the process, even if you cannot read the language on the control panel.

  1. Turn your printer off and then on.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch the Setup  icon.

  3. Touch the first option that displays on the printer control panel. This option is the Preferences menu.

  4. Touch Language. Depending on your printer, the language selection is first or second option that displays on the printer control panel.

    • For  ENVY 4520,  the language selection is the first option that displays on the control panel.

A list of available languages displays.

  5. Scroll through the list to find your desired language option, and then touch Yes to confirm.

Hope that helps!

Help!  my printer is a 4632 and is currently in Sanskrit sports I can't read any of the prompts.  I do not have a screen where I can wipe to the left, only up and down arrows.  I can't read to find the languages.

I can't find the icon on my 4632 printer as I can't swipe.  Only up or down arrows at side of screen.

@Eustacia,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Let's try these steps here:

On the printer control panel Highlight Setup Menu - Use the Option 4 (up and down ) to scroll down to Preferences.

Under Preferences you have the Language as the first option.

English would be the first option.

You may also refer to this support document for - HP Printers - Control Panel Displays the Wrong Language

Step 2: Change the language through the software

Step 3: Change the language through the Embedded Web Server

I hope this should do the trick. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
