Hi @Ivor11

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP Envy 4500 printer to your eero 6 Wi-Fi network, you need to ensure the printer is set up to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network and is within range of the eero router. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you connect your printer to the eero 6 network:

1. Prepare the Printer for Wi-Fi Setup

First, make sure your printer is ready to connect to the new Wi-Fi network.

Turn on the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn on the HP Envy 4500 printer.

Activate Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless icon (it may look like a wireless signal) or navigate to the Wi-Fi Setup menu via the printer’s screen.
  • If the Wi-Fi menu isn't directly available, you may need to press and hold the Wireless button (on some models) or use the HP Wireless Setup Wizard. Refer to your printer's manual if you're not sure how to activate the wireless setup.

Enable Wi-Fi Direct (Optional):

  • If the printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can enable it. This will allow you to print wirelessly even if you're not connected to the Wi-Fi network directly.

2. Connect the Printer to the eero 6 Network

You have two main options to connect your HP Envy 4500 to the eero 6 network: via the printer's display or via the HP Smart app.

Option 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel

  1. On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.
  2. The printer will search for available networks.
  3. When you see the eero 6 network name (SSID) in the list of available networks, select it.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password (the one for your eero 6 network) using the printer’s control panel. Be careful with the password as it is case-sensitive.
  5. The printer should connect to the eero network. A successful connection is usually indicated by a solid wireless icon or the printer will display a confirmation message.

Option 2: Using the HP Smart App

You can also set up your printer using the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer:

Download and Install HP Smart:

  • If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for mobile devices, or from the HP website for a desktop version.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
