Hi @Mikeyfella,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you need information regarding the setup process with your HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers as the drivers are not available for Windows XP. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add a printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to these documents: HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) & HP printer setup (USB cable) for help.

Very sorry, but as this PC is 'OffLine', i.e. - not connected to the internet, I can't -  " When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated. •"

I don't have a disk from HP and the Windows Update can't be accessed, so I'm thinking I need to ask for a hard copy of the software required?

I have the Win XP disk but the Printer Install can't find any applicable drivers on it!

Perhaps you could email me a URL where I might download the software?

Thanks for your help, MF

So far, the recommended steps have not been succsessful! 1 - The driver list is not updating to show my printer. 2 - The WebPacks will not install on my computer.

I have removed all HP software from my pc and started 'fresh' with no success.  There is no internet connection on this pc, but the instructions always ask for a connection to get the updates and software needed.  Looks like I'm SOL at this point, sigh....   Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you...MF
