Hi @Tarekk6
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Connecting your HP LaserJet MFP M139-M142 to Wi-Fi can sometimes be tricky.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get it set up:
Reset Network Settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer simultaneously for about 5 seconds. This will reset the network settings and put the printer into setup mode. The wireless light should start blinking.
Use the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone.
- Open the app and select "Set up a new printer."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. You’ll need your Wi-Fi password for this step.
Ensure Compatibility:
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is set to the 2.4 GHz band, as some HP printers do not support 5 GHz networks.
- Verify that your network uses WPA or WPA2 security (open networks or WEP security may not work).
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure that your router’s WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) feature is enabled if you’re using the WPS method. Press the WPS button on your router and then press the Wireless button on your printer within 2 minutes.
Update Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, router, and computer. Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
