HP DeskJet 2742e All-in-One Printer
iOS

Hello!
Recently I sold my HP Deskjet2742e. Now, I’m struggling a lot to delete my entire HP account as well as cancel and delete my Instant Ink. How do I do all that using an iPad? I’m situated in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Mariamtl

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To delete your HP account and cancel HP Instant Ink using your iPad, follow these steps. I'll guide you through both processes:

1. Cancel HP Instant Ink Subscription

If you want to cancel your HP Instant Ink subscription, follow these steps:

Via the HP Instant Ink Website:

Open Safari or any browser on your iPad.

Go to the official HP Instant Ink website: https://www.hpinstantink.com.

Log in to your HP Instant Ink account using your email and password.

Once logged in, go to Account Settings:

  • Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen to open the navigation.
  • Tap on "Account" or "My Account".

Under Subscription, find the option to cancel your Instant Ink plan. You should see an option for "Cancel Subscription" or "End Service".

Follow the on-screen instructions to cancel the service. You may be asked to confirm the cancellation.

  • Make sure to remove any devices associated with the Instant Ink plan.
  • You might also be prompted to return the ink cartridges (if applicable) or inform you about any final charges.

Via the HP Instant Ink App (if you have it installed):

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your iPad (you can download it from the App Store if you don’t have it already).
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. Tap on "Account" at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Look for the Instant Ink subscription settings and cancel from there.
