When there was a recent update to the HP support assistant, I connected my newish printer to it as it was not showing on the dashboard. However, the printer I had previously is also showing and shows that it need an update. As  I no longer have this printer, I would like to remove it from the dashboard but cannot find a way to do so. Can anyone help me as there is a red warning symbol that shows all the time on my taskbar.

I have solved the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the support assistant.
