HP Laser 135WG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

This is a continuation of the original thread https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Factory-resetting-Laser-MFP-135w/td-p/7....

After I´ve done all the right setting for the printer I want to change the password for the admin account in the embedded web service for the printer. I´ve took the standard password for the admin account , changed it, noted it (password manager) and want to test the new password. It don`t work. Now, I`ve no access for the admin settings for my printer.

So, I thought I can reset the printer to his default settings/factory resetting inclusive his admin password. But I don´t find a clue how I can do that.

Ca you help me? It seems the instructions for factory reset are only disclosed on a personal basis, so this is my call for that. Thanks in advance for your help.

@Wilhelm1, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!

Me, too, I want to perform a total reset of my HP Laser135wg.

Which are the steps to be taken?
