Please help i had an autouppgrade on my deskjet 2630 printer an now i cant use it its upgraded to windows 11, the whole family has windows 8 ...  what to do?

all i want is to print and use scanner

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

The printer software is the same for supported versions of Windows - Windows 7 through Windows 11.

The software version was last updated in December 2021.

 

What happened?

No idea - Windows 8 is not a supported version of Windows - not sure what would have happened to cause an update to OS or printer software.

?

 

If you have not done so,

Try / Consider:

  • Uninstall the full driver printer software from Programs and Features
  • Restart the computer and log in
  • If using USB, to connect the printer to the computer, disconnect the cable before installing software
  • Download / Save / Install a fresh copy of the printer software
  • If using USB,  connect the cable when instructed to do so, near the end of the installation procedure
  • After the software is installed > Restart the computer and sign in
