Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

i have an HP  Officejet pro 8600. I can not find a series # located in the HP book. My printer works fine but their is not option for the HP Scanner. What should I download? When I went to the download/software site and put in the printer information, a download pops up. Underneath it, a message appears that says this software can damage the computer so I am afraid to download it. Any suggestions?
