How to factory reset HP Laserjet MFP M29w? I have lost my EWS credential, I need to reset it

 

Every time I try to add printer with HP Smart app, it keeps on asking custom password, which I do not have, so I need to factory reset it. I do not have printer cable

To perform a factory reset on an HP LaserJet MFP M29w, you can follow the steps below.

 

  • Power off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer.
  • Wait for approximately 10 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the printer.
  • Press and hold the Resume button while turning on the printer. Keep holding the button until all the lights on the control panel become active.
  • Once all the lights are on, release the Resume button.
  • The printer will initialize and begin the factory reset process. This may take a few minutes.
  • Once the factory reset is complete, the printer will restart.

 

After the factory reset, the printer's settings should be restored to their default values, including network settings. However, please note that any custom configurations or settings will be lost, and the printer will need to be set up again.

 

If you have lost your EWS (Embedded Web Server) credentials and need to access the printer's settings, you can try using the default username and password. For HP printers, the default username is usually "admin," and the default password is either "admin," "password," or left blank.

These steps did not perform the reset and my default password is not admin, password or blank. It is asking for a custom password, which I do not have hence please provide how to do a complete restore like a new store bought
