Hi @Harry19561,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Finding your HP Deskjet 3500's IP address is essential for troubleshooting connectivity issues. Here are several methods to find your printer's IP address:
Method 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel (If Available)
- Print a Network Configuration Page:
- On many HP printers, you can print a network configuration page that includes the IP address.
- Press the "Wireless" button on your printer to access the wireless settings.
- Navigate to "Print Network Configuration" and press the corresponding button to print the page.
- The IP address should be listed on the printed page.
Method 2: Using the HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart App:
- Ensure your printer and mobile device or computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Add Your Printer:
- If your printer isn’t already added, click the "+" sign to add a new printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- View Printer Information:
- Select your printer from the home screen.
- Go to "Printer Information" or "Network Information."
- The IP address should be displayed in this section.
Method 3: Using Your Router's Web Interface:
- Open a web browser and enter your router's IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Log in with your router’s admin username and password.
- Navigate to the section that shows connected devices or network map.
- Look for your HP Deskjet 3500 in the list of connected devices. The IP address will be listed next to it.
Method 4: Using Your Computer
- Windows:
- Open "Control Panel" and go to "Devices and Printers."
- Right-click your HP Deskjet 3500 and select "Properties" or "Printer Properties."
- Go to the "Ports" tab, and look for the IP address listed in the port description.
- Mac:
- Open "System Preferences" and go to "Printers & Scanners."
- Select your HP Deskjet 3500 from the list.
- Click on "Options & Supplies."
- The IP address will be displayed under the "General" tab.
Method 5: Using the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as your printer.
- Enter the printer’s hostname (usually found on the printer’s information sheet) or its IP address if you already know it.
- Log in if prompted.
- Navigate to the "Network" section to find the IP address.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
