Hi @Esther07066,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error 58.04 on the HP LaserJet P3015 indicates a "Fan error." This error typically occurs when there is an issue with the cooling fan inside the printer. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve this error:

Steps to Fix Error 58.04:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This step can sometimes clear temporary errors.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the cooling fan inside the printer. The fan is usually located near the back or side of the printer.

Inspect Fan Operation:

  • Listen for the fan when you turn on the printer. You should hear the fan spinning.
  • If you do not hear the fan spinning or if it sounds abnormal (e.g., grinding noise), there may be an issue with the fan itself.

Clean Fan and Printer Interior:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the printer's covers carefully to access the interior.
  • Use compressed air to gently blow dust and debris away from the fan and surrounding areas.
  • Avoid using excessive force or touching internal components with bare hands to prevent damage.

Reseat Connections:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Check the connections to the fan and ensure they are securely plugged in.
  • Reseat the fan connection if necessary to ensure a good connection.

Update Firmware (optional):

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP LaserJet P3015 printer. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for hardware-related issues like fan errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
