Hi @asikhossain,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to manually install the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw scanner driver, follow these steps:

1. Download the Basic Driver:

  1. Go to the HP Customer Support website.
  2. Enter "HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw" in the search bar.
  3. Select the correct printer from the search results.
  4. Choose your operating system to ensure you download the compatible drivers.
  5. Download the "HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw Printer Full Feature Software and Driver" or the basic "HP Scan and Capture" if available. If the full solution isn't working, the basic driver may work.

2. Install the Scanner Driver:

Unzip the Downloaded File:

  • Once downloaded, unzip the file to a known location (e.g., C:\HP\).

Add Printer via Device Manager:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Imaging devices. If your printer is listed, right-click and select Update driver.
  • Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
  • Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the drivers.
  • Follow the prompts to install the driver.

Install Scanner via "Add a Printer" Wizard:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a device.
  • If the scanner isn’t listed, choose The printer that I want isn't listed.
  • Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
  • Choose Use an existing port and select the correct port (usually USB001 for USB-connected printers or an existing network port for network-connected printers).
  • Click Next and then Have Disk.
  • Navigate to the folder where you extracted the drivers and select the .inf file.
  • Continue with the installation steps.

3. Configure the Scanner in Windows:

  1. Open Control Panel > View Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on your printer/scanner and select Scan properties.
  3. Go to the Scanner tab to see if it is listed and configured correctly.

4. Use HP Scan and Capture:

  • If you have the HP Scan and Capture app installed, open it and try scanning to see if it detects your scanner.

Troubleshooting:

  • USB Detection Issue: Since your printer used to be detected over USB, try using a different USB cable or port. Ensure that the printer is powered on and properly connected.
  • Network Configuration: Make sure that your printer is properly connected to the network. You can check the printer's IP address and see if it is accessible from your computer.

Using the HP Software:

If you still want to use the "LJPro_MFP_M125-126_full_solution_15311" software:

  1. Reset the Printer: Sometimes resetting the printer by turning it off, unplugging it for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in can help.
  2. Use USB Connection Temporarily: Since the software is asking for a USB connection, connect the printer via USB just to complete the driver installation and then switch back to the network connection afterward.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
