Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Laserjet 1018 printer works perfectly with a Dell XPS 8920 desktop with Windows 10, that unfortunately cannot run Windows 11 so has been replaced with a Dell Optiflex desktop with Windows 11.  I have tried every recommended way I can find to set up the printer on the Win 11 computer but none of them work. The computer just will not recognize the printer. The printer is hard wired to the computer with a USB cord through USB001.
