@Bruce2516, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It seems that you're experiencing difficulty in selecting color printing options with your HP ENVY 6055e printer. Here are some general steps to help you troubleshoot this issue:

Checking the Printer Settings

Access Printer Preferences:

  • Open the document or photo you want to print, and then click on “Print”.
  • Select your HP ENVY 6055e printer, and then click “Properties” or “Preferences”.

Select Color Printing:

  • In the printer properties window, make sure to choose the “Color” setting under the print quality or print options tab.
  • Ensure that the setting is not accidentally set to "Black & White" or "Grayscale".

Update Drivers:

  • Verify that you have the latest printer driver installed. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.

General Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check Paper Type: Ensure you're using paper that is suitable for color printing.
  • Check Ink Levels: Confirm that all relevant ink cartridges have enough ink, especially the color ones.
  • Reset the Printer: Try resetting the printer. Simply turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
