Hi @Minasweet,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with registering and using your HP ENVY 6052e All-in-One Printer. Let's try the following steps to resolve this:

1. Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle: Unplug the printer from the power source while it is on, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  • Restart the Printer: Once plugged back in, turn on the printer and check if it responds correctly.

2. Check Printer Connection

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can do this by running the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer's control panel.
  • USB Connection: If you’re using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely connected and the USB port is functioning.

3. Re-register the Printer

  • HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app on your device and try to add the printer again. If the printer is frozen and not responding, resetting it as mentioned above should help.
  • Check HP Account: Ensure that you’re logged in to your HP account. If you're still having trouble, try logging out and back in or using a different device.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  • Firmware Update: Sometimes, printers can act up if the firmware is outdated. You can update the firmware via the HP Smart app under the "Printer Settings" or from HP's official website by downloading the latest firmware update for your model.

5. Factory Reset the Printer

  • Reset to Factory Settings: If the printer remains unresponsive, try a factory reset. This can be done by holding the cancel and wireless buttons simultaneously until the power light blinks. After the reset, try setting up the printer again.

6. Clear Print Queue and Restart Spooler (Windows)

  • If your printer won’t print, try clearing the print queue:
    • Open "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers."
    • Right-click on your printer and select "See what's printing."
    • Cancel all documents in the queue.
  • Restart the print spooler service:
    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Find "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click, and select "Restart."

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be related to hardware problems. In this case, I recommend you contact phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
