Hi @PLiong,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.
The default username and password for your printer would be blank or admin for both username and password.
However, if you still have issues try performing a factory reset on your printer and check if it helps.

Hi @PLiong,
May I know where are you seeing the option for admin and password while using your printer?
Are you trying to login to the printer ews page?
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi @PLiong,
Thank you for sharing the required information.
With previous firmware versions, the default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank
With the latest printer firmware, the default username remains admin (all lower case), but the password is the WPS PIN Number of the printer.
To locate the WPS PIN Number, print a Network Configuration Report and locate the PIN Number within the WPS Information section.
Here is how to print a Network Configuration Report report for the different HP Laser printer models:

Hi @PLiong,
If you have made changes to the password and you no longer remember it.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again as it will reset the password to defaults.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

Hi Irwin6,
Thanks for your waiting. It is noticed that the admin password is not being reset to the default one after restoring the Wi-Fi setup mode 😞
Please be informed that my firmware version is V3.82.01.17. Could you have a further check from your side?
Million Thanks
