I need to reset password on the printer so that I can do a factory reset.  All discussions about this have had private messages sent and no access for someone that just wants to get her printer working again.

Help please.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd love to help.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the communities page for the private message.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Betty,

I sent you a private message as your suggestion didn't work due to printer requested a password when I selected "Service" in the menu.  This was not my printer before so I need to see if there is another solution.  Sorry I didn't see your answer before but I will watch for it now.

Thanks,

Laura

Betty,

I don't think I gave you good or all of the information.  It is the administrator password that I need to reset.  I saw the request when I was searching the community site to see if I could find something closer to what is wrong with my printer.  I may have indicated that I need to do a factory reset however it is the administrator password that I need or at least that looks like what a couple of other folks inquired and got private messages about.

Thanks again for your help.
