Hi guys, I have hp deskjet 2620 printer. When I try to enter the interface of the printer, I encounter admin-password authentication, but I do not remember. How can I reset it to factory settings?
(Friends who will suggest a combination of Wifi + Cancel, this method only resets the wireless options.)

Hi @sorrymanimnot,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the HP DeskJet 2620 printer, you can follow these steps.
Please note that the specific steps may vary slightly depending on the model and firmware version of your printer. Before proceeding, make sure there are no print jobs in the queue, and you have turned on the printer.
- Power off the printer: Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cable: Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer. If the power cable is connected to a power strip or surge protector, make sure to disconnect it from there as well.
- Wait for a few seconds: Allow the printer to remain disconnected for about 20-30 seconds. This step is essential to ensure that any residual power is discharged from the printer.
- Reconnect the power cable: Plug the power cable back into the printer's rear port.
- Power on the printer: Press the Power button to turn on the printer. The printer will start the reset process.
- Complete the initialization: The printer might take a few moments to initialize and reset itself. During this time, avoid interrupting the process or turning off the printer again.
Once the printer has finished resetting, it should be back to its default settings and ready for use. You may need to reconfigure some settings or reestablish connections if you had any wireless settings set up previously.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
