HP ENVY Pro 6432 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I remember it was a real task to change the default settings on my HP Envy pro to black and white. Having to go into the (MacBook) settings to allow it. But I really don't remember how I did it. Now after an update the printer is printing in color again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @Jollyjay,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Click your printer name and press the Manage button, then press Printing Preferences. Change the settings as you like to Black & White within the Paper/Quality tab, press Apply, and then OK. The selected settings will now be set as default.

Note that you may need to close the program you are printing from and open it again so the changes will apply.

You may also refer to this document for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for your trouble, but the settings always go back to factory default. I have to be able to acces different settings to allow the changes to be permanent.
