HP Envy 6000 printer currently has double sided color printing as default settings. would like to change to single sided, black white as default settings so I don't have to choose these options before every print job. No other issues everything works great.

Thank you,

Lily

Hi @LilyPad47,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you want to change the printing present to print only on a single side on your HP ENVY 6000 All-in-One Printer series. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

You have to change the settings on your Mac PC. Please follow the below steps:

  • Open a document which you woruld like to print
  • Click on File and select print or press ⌘ + P
  • You will see the print dialog box
  • Now click on the dropdown icon and make sure you select your printer ( if selected ignore this step)
  • NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.
  • Make sure you uncheck the Two-Sided option and select black and white as default as per your requirement
  • You may save the settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset
  • By doing so and completing the print job these settings will remain default till another preset will be used in the future.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
