Hello! I really need to solve this. In my household and small family business we print A LOT.
Double sided printing is useful but only 5-10% of our documents is printed that way.

Single sided printing is a standard.
How can I change default settings to print double sided ONLY when required?

Going thorough settings to uncheck this each time is a chore.
 - Can't delete or modify "Factory Settings" preset.
 - In fact I can't delete any of those imposed "printing shortcuts" that I have zero use for.
- Yes, I know I can create additional preset with "Print On Both Sides" set to "NO".  Except not only I have to manually go there and choose that shortcut EACH TIME, but user created presets are located at the end of  "shortcuts" list so user have to scroll to the bottom first. All this makes the procedure the exact opposite of what "shortcut" means.

Please help. We are suffering here.

Assuming that the driver is defaulted to duplex, you change as follows. On your PC go to control panel >devices and printers and right click on the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu.  Click the advance tab and select default settings and change to single sided.

Thank You for reply! It seems to work that way.
I wouldn't  think such obvious option could be that convoluted though!
