I need help setting up printer in a way that every time I send print command a pop up ask me if I want to print as color or B&W. For Example Chrome browser has this option to switch between color and b&w every time I send print command.

Hi,

To change color printing as default, follow the below steps:

  • Click the start menu and then the Settings (gear) button.
  • Click on Devices and then on Printers & Scanners.
  • Click your printer name from the list and select Manage, then click on Printer Properties.
  • Within the General tab click on Preferences, open the Color/Quality tab is selected, and press OK.
  • from the Advanced tab press on Printing Defaults...
  • Make sure the color option is selected on the Color/Quality tab in here as well and press OK.
  • Press Apply to confirm and then OK, now color printing should be default.

If you experience further issues, what application are you printing from?

Not all applications allow changing the color settings from the print dialog itself, but all should allow accessing the Printing Preferences dialog from there to change the color settings.
