Every time I change an ink cartridge, I have to fight the printer to stop it from wasting my time and my ink by printing an alignment page and then requiring to scan it.

 

As far as I know, this is useless. My HP printer prints very nicely even without having aligned itself this way. If it is sometimes required, it should be a troubleshooting option, not an automatic process.

 

So, does someone please know a way (an alternate driver maybe) to tell the printer not to do this?

 

I am tired of fighting it EVERY SINGLE TIME I change a cartridge. this includes tearing out the paper before it can grab it or unplugging / replugging it. Sometimes several times before it gives up. Once it has given up, it prints fine, this is the only issue I have with it.

 

All suggestions welcome except "let it do its alignment".
