HP OfficeJet 4632 printer all in one. Windows 10 64bit. Great machine.
Is there a way to turn off auto HP or Windows updates for the printer? It's so annoying and interferes with something
and functioning once updated. And i don't need them.
They're not frequent at all, but I prefer not to have them.
I've checked through the actual printer manual functions and apparently there isn't an option for Updates.
I also checked through directly in the laptop's software - the HP printer's app/software "HP Officejet 4640 series - Printer Assistant". Again, no option about Updates.
Really appreciate advice. Thank you.

My first read doesn't exactly show this. I'll read it again. You were very kind to answer so quickly. Thank you.
Sorry, I should have told you the exact sub-item.
You asked the question: “Deactivating automatic HP updates for Officejet 4632”.
This question is answered here:
x Change firmware update settings

If you cannot afford, it would seem reasonable to be able to use third party cartridges and take the responsibility for difference in quality. HP might consider a different level ink for this lower-quality type of printing need.)
Are the costs really that outrageous?
HP has been investing a lot of money in ink development for years. So that the quality of the printouts is guaranteed. What's more, HP gives a guarantee on this ink.
To be clear, the problem is not the ink. It's the use of the ink. If I print out daily, then I have no problems at all. Not even if I select this option: “Draft quality” to save ink. In other words, using less ink to produce more prints.
But always keep this in mind: I use the printer every day! This is precisely the problem or misunderstanding of some users (unfortunately they are not informed about this).
An inkjet printer that is not used for a long time, here the ink dries out at the print nozzles, the print nozzles clog, the result = the 1st and 2nd printout ... are not good!
Users are being given the wrong advice here. You can not use a Laserjet for several weeks, months or even years, switch on the printer and this printer delivers a perfect printout.
That's all I want to say on this subject. Money and quality ... opinions differ widely ...
Nevertheless, I hope I have been able to help you with my comments.
With this in mind, I wish you a good Sunday.
Kind Regards
