Hi @izakblueberry,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry hear that the control panel on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 is locked, you will need to perform a reset or clear any set password restrictions to access full functionality. Follow these steps to unlock the control panel:

Access Security Settings:

  • Ensure that you are not using any administrative settings in the HP Smart app or Embedded Web Server (EWS) that might lock the control panel. Open the HP Smart app or EWS from a connected device to verify the lock settings.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset:

  • If you have access via HP Smart app, navigate to support tools to perform specific resets. If not, you may need to use a physical approach:
  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer while holding the 'Help' button and the 'OK' button together for a few seconds. Release them once the printer starts.

Reset via Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer control panel to obtain its IP address.
  • Enter the IP address in a web browser on your computer to access the EWS.
  • Navigate to the 'Settings' or 'Tools' section in EWS, and look for options to reset the printer.

Take care and have an amazing day!
