I have seen this question asked a few times and found a solution that I wanted to share in the event that others have the same request. Note that this assumes that you are the administrator for the printer.
Steps:
1) Go to HP Smart App
2) On the homepage select "Printer Settings"
3) On the left hand side of the window select "Advanced Settings"
4) On the top of page, in a gray toolbar, select "Settings"
5) In the list that opens, expand the "Security" category and select "Administrator Settings"
6) Scroll down and uncheck the box next to "Control Panel Lock" and select "Apply"
This fixed the issue for me and hopefully this will help you as well!
