Here’s a comprehensive guide to help wirelessly connect your HP Color Laser MFP 178nw printer to your network:

Using the Wireless Setup Wizard

  • Make sure the printer is powered on and ready.

Access Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • Navigate to Settings and select Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select Your Network:

  • The printer will search for available networks. You need to select your network name (SSID) from the list.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your wireless password (WEP key or WPA passphrase) if required.

Install Software:

  • After successfully connecting, ensure you have installed the necessary printer software on your computer. This can be found on the HP website (HP Support) if not already installed.

Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

If your router supports WPS, you can connect using this method:

Preparation:

  • Ensure your WPS-enabled router is turned on.
  • Make sure the printer is powered on and ready.

Push Button Method:

  • Press the WPS button on your router.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for at least 3 seconds.
  • The printer should display it is trying to connect.

Hope this helps!
