You need to enter the preboot menu and either perform a partial clean of the drive or a cold reset. Both options will clear all user data. You enter the preboot menu by starting the machine and when the count appears under the HP logo, you immediately touch the logo on the screen. The options you need are under the administrator menu once you are in the preboot menu.
