@H-T-S

Welcome to HP Support Community

I would like to help

Please download the HP Print And Scan Doctor Download link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Thank you

Thanks for keeping me posted

Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Next assign a Manual IP Address

- Print a Network Config Page from the printer. Note the printer's IP address.

- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.

- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.

- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250

- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)

- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.

- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS.

- Click 'Apply'.

Hi, i did everything as suggested.

When i was browsing the settings menu

i did find a menu power save settings

It says the printer will go in sleep mode after 2 hours . The problem is i can not change this setting to never !

i think this is where The problem keeps comming up , the printer gets in sleep mode and can only bring back alive by deconnecting the power and power it back up again .

HP Recommended

Unfortunately you cannot disable the sleep mode completely. You can also extend or minimize the time for it to go to sleep.

This is by design.

So what you say is

i have a printer with the function eprint what does not work because my printer sleeps and i can not decide per change it to my own wish.

i dont know why we as cliënt should by this printer then ?
i can not Be designed that you every time need to disconnect and reconnect het power plug

HP Recommended

The Printer will go to sleep but you should be able to wake it up from sleep when printing

Try these steps

Touch on the Wi-Fi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address a. Click Start/Devices and Printers.  Right-click on your HP Printer.  Select Printer Properties.  Select the Ports tab at the top. b.   Select Add Port.  Select Standard TCP/IP Port.  Select New Port. c.   Follow the Add Port Wizard.  Under Printer Name or IP Address, .  Example:  192.168.1.15.  The IP address will be copied under Port Name. d.   Select Next and Finish the Wizard.
