Microsoft Windows 11

HP Envy 4500 that won't print word or dopy documents. It will scan and also print PDF, but that is all. I have tried to update drivers but to no effect.

The printer is connected to the desk top PC by cable and has been for some time - without any problem.  I have tried to fix also via Co-Pilot on edge but I'm sure he/she wouldn't have a clue.  Can anyone give me a reasonably simple fix, something like the availability of an installation download or driver that might do it. Look forward to any help that saves me ditching the printer and getting a new one.

Hi @GeorgeA5

Please install the next driver for your printer:

Once you install that software Restart your computer and send your document to print.

Thank you for the information.  I have now tried this without result. Further investigation now seems to point to a systems error within the window O/S system, and it may ultimately result in someone with a greater knowledge than myself in dealing with this or even a new PC - which I am seriously considering. Once again, thanks for your input, greatly appreciated.
