I've been using an Hp Envy 5534 on my Windows 10 computer for years (and it still works fine).

I had it wired with usb cable and it worked flawlessly .

I've been using 3rd party black ink cartridge for a while ...no problem.

I can't get the same printer to work on my new Windows 11 desktop...the most I can get is to print a test page.

It was tested both with wi-fi and usb connection with no differences.

Any advice ?

Ps

I've used the latest driver that's available on HP website .

Thank for your reply

As I've understood the one you advised it's the same that's available on my regional website...and the same I've installed on W11

Other shot at solving this issue....

Uninstalled software for Hp, removed that printer  from "printers & scanners"

I tried a "Factory data reset" (keeping pressed for a few seconds power & wi-fi button on the printer).

Reinstalled sw ... no result.

After reading a Reddit thread I changed a few settings on my Router enabling Secondary wi-fi ( @ 2,5 ghz)

I tried setting up the Envy to connect to that SSID but nothing.

Right now my Envy only works as a scanner .....kinda pissed off

NB

primary wi-fi has 2,5 & 5 ghz merged

Back with (partial) good news.

My dad has managed to get it working via USB....looks like something disconnected inside the cable try  (I had to use to 2 usb cables joined together for length) while tinkering.

Guess I'll buy an usb splitter to share the Envy between those 2 pcs.
