Product: Hp Envy Photo 6232
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Hi! I have to buy a new printer (my old Photosmart 5510 is dead) and  I’m trying to understand if the printer Hp Envy Photo 6232 works on Mac OSX X 10.9 (Mavericks) because on the italian website, in the technical features section, they say it’s compatible, but if i scroll down on the page I cannot find Mavericks on the Required OS.

So, does this printer works on Mavericks or not?!

Help me please because i contacted HP Support on twitter but i still haven’t received an answer after many days and i need a new printer. Thanks!

@Emy_87, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

According to the printer specifications, minimum macOS requirement is 10.10. However, on the HP drivers page, the printer driver is available for macOS 10.9.Click here to check the same. You may buy and try it at your own discretion.

This printer is AirPrint compatible too. It may or may not work on macOS 10.9. 

I suggest you update the macOS which will resolve your issue.

I can’t update my os cause my mac it’s too old. So this printer basically won’t work on Mavericks but there are drivers for it and you have to buy the printer to try; this is a lot absurd.

Is there any other printer available for my os?

You will have to search for the printer and check the printer specifications to know which printer supports macOS 10.9. All new printers require macOS 10.10 and above. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
