Hi

I had this printer setup and working fine then one day it just wouldnt respond. I uninstalled everything and since then ive been unable to reinstall it. Ive tried every piece of software that HP has to offer, every tool to resolve issue and every combo of driver download that i could find but i always end up with the same result.

Im connecting via Wifi, i can print a test page which confirms network is connected ok, laptop detects printer no problem but no joy installing it. Ive basically got an ornamental printer now.

I hope someone can help me out without having to spend hours connected trying everything ive already tried.

Thanks

I think finally posting this somehow fixed my issue!

Really odd this as ive followed every set of instructions i could find to fix this, ive used the troubleshooter etc.

I will post the steps i followed which are taken from another post on here

Thsi is the thread that i followed today - Driver is unavailable after HP printer install. - HP Support Community - 8100103

these are the steps from that thread i performed

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

On restarting i downloaded the software as instructed note for some reason the iste thought i was in india or the US and my printer isnt listed when searching or in the unsupported list so i chose one with a similar name. The software just told me to go to add printer which i did, whilst waiting for a printer to appear to select my printer suddenyl appeared in the installed printers list and has worked fine since.

very odd
