Start up screen stuck, full bar, only one bubble. Have tried unplugging from back of printer, waiting 5 mins, and plugging back in. Screen does the same thing. No motion to printer upon plugging in. And “power” button will not function, can unplug from wall and back of machine only.  Upon plugging back in, machine comes on and goes right back to this screen. Please help!

Hi @Tabby2_m0m,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Envy Photo 7855 Stuck on Start-Up Screen!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Power Cycle:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  • Wait approximately one minute.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first, and then into the printer's back.
  • Try turning on the printer again by pressing the power button.

Perform a Factory Reset:
If a simple power cycle doesn't work, performing a factory reset may help. To do this, you'll often need to enter a specific key sequence on the printer control panel, but that varies by model. This information is generally found in the user manual or confirmed by HP Customer Support.

Check for any Blockages or Jams:

  • Open the printer and carefully inspect the interior for any obstructions or paper jams that might affect startup.
  • Ensure that the printhead can move freely without obstructions.

Firmware Update:

  • If the printer is functional enough to connect to a computer, ensure the firmware is updated to the latest version if you can access any menu screens. This may require connecting the printer to your computer using a USB cord.

I hope this helps.
