I have my Hp Envy 4510 printer wirelessly conected to my laptop (also HP) and at first everything was great and I could print stuff out fine. Then I changed the ink cartridge and it printed the alignment page just fine but it won't print anything I try to send it from my laptop.
It will give me a notification that says my printer needs "attention required" but I don't know what to do to fix it.

Hi,
Please download and run the utility driver in the bottom of the page mentioned in the link below, it is called HP Print and Scan Doctor and see if this helps

thanks

Hello,
Thank you for contacting HP support Forum.
I understand your printer is not longer printing when sending files from your computer
* Try also to disconnect the printer from power cable when it is still on and leave it disconnected for 20 secs. It is highly recommended to connect printers directly to the outlet on the wall.
* You can also check if the printer is correctly installed and no drivers missing. You can check in programs and features and also device manager on the tap for imaging devices
* It is very basic but very helpful to restart computer and printer at the same time
* You can also check with the IP address of the printer in a browser bar to make sure it is well connected to the network by openning EWS. Make sure printer and computer are connected in the same network.
*If none of the options above seem to work, proceed to unistall the printer from programs and features.
* unistall from control panel/devices and printers/ on the Tap print server properties/ Tap for drivers and delete the ones for the printer/
* Unistal from device manager / imaging devices / printers name or model will display/ right click on it and select unistall.
* You can download HP.com / go to support tap/ software and drivers/ make sure you select the correct OS and bit of your computer/ ( you can find OS and system type by pressing windows+pause key )
* you can use the model or product Number of your printer to find de software
* After installation reboot your device and try one more time.
Though I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

The proper answer is not try this or try that but specific steps to solve the problem. Clearly, no solution exists to the problem plaguing millions of users of network-connected HP printers. In such a case, the HP Print and Scan Doctor is useless, as it runs in the background without any user interface.
The only workaround I have been able to apply is to designate another printer as the default printer, delete all documents waiting to print, run the printer troubleshooter, let it designate the network printer as the default printer and reprint the document. If I need to print again to the same printer, I get a "Printer needs attention" error and I have to do the above steps for every document I want to print. This is terrible, HP!!!!!!! Fix this problem already!!!!
