Hello does anyone know if this hp ink tank 315 printer is actually compatible with macbook m1? It's almost a month already and I still cant seem to install the driver for this printer on my laptop. It's really frustrating. Kindly do not give me link to the driver, i've tried that like dozen of times already.
The thing is after downloading the driver, i was prompted to install the hp smart app. But the problem arises when that freaking app cannot detect my printer.
My macbook can do it just fine since i can add it on the system preferences. It was just the app that's causing problem.
Is there any way i can install the driver without using the app? Please help
Thank you in advance

@Eyrwa, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
This model printer is not AirPrint compatible. The only option to install the printer is using the HP Smart app.
If the app was downloaded from the Mac App Store, follow these steps:
Please remove /Users/Username/Library/Containers/HP Smart/containers.plist and then launch HP Smart from the Applications folder and go through the setup again.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on Mac
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
Download the latest version of the HP Smart app from the app store.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
