HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Printer

Hi,

I’m trying to delete my HP Smart account, but I receive a message saying it cannot be deleted because my printer is linked to Instant Ink. However, I’m currently not subscribed to Instant Ink. Could you please help me delete my account?

Thank you

Prakash

@krp1981, Welcome to HP Community!

We understand how frustrating it can be to try to delete your HP Smart account and see the message about Instant Ink, especially when you’re not currently subscribed. Don’t worry we’ll help you get this resolved.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your HP Smart / Instant Ink account at HP Instant Ink – Ink Monthly Subscription | HP Official Site.

  2. Check under My Account > My Plan to confirm that Instant Ink is fully cancelled. If any old subscription shows as active, please cancel it.

  3. Once the cancellation is confirmed, remove your printer from the HP Smart account:
    • Open HP Smart app → go to Printers → select your printer → choose Remove Printer.

  4. After this, try deleting your HP account again at HP account.

Take care and have an amazing day!
