HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am the IT admin for an organization called LOVESAC.

All our HP printers connected through internet needed a driver reinstall. The driver reinstall works for HP Laserjet MFP M130 and above. HP Laserjet MFP127fn says driver unavailable in the Printers and Scanners setting in Windows 10. The driver from the Hp site creates a printer HP Laserjet Pro MFP M!27-M128 PCLms that does not print, Meanwhile the actual printer connected to our network says "driver unavailable even after removing and adding the printer.

Is there a fix for this ? Please help

Hello @AlanThomas2 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Important:
The printer can be connected via USB or Ethernet. But never both at the same time!

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. download only this complete package: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127/128 Series Full Software and Drivers
  5. Close all programs
  6. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE,
  7. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  8. Restart the System again

And don't forget to install this software package as well: Readiris Pro 16

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi This is still what i am getting after following your instructions step by step. The installer creates a new Pclms copy for the printer while the original printer says driver unavailable. I had re-added the printer to show you what is going on. I had removed "DEV2COFF" printer before reinstalling and when I go to add the printer on the network it is separate from what I installed and says "driver unvailable". Not sure on what to do next. System is Windows 10 64-bit. Please help, Thanks!

You need to uninstall the entire printer software and also delete all folders. You may even have to use the registry editor to remove printer entries.
The printer software must be removed completely.
In addition, the system must be restarted several times.

Only then may a new installation be performed.

Kind Regards
