Hp Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer been operating fine, doing an outstanging job. I had move it from an window opersting system computer to an Apple Mac mini desktop system. On Hp 8600 printer we have two trays, one for recycle paper, good on on one side, the other for premium white paper, good on both sides. When printing om windows we could select tray 1 or tray 2, however, with the Mac we can not do so. Is there a way we can set-up the print where as, we can used both trays?

@7734346274, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Selecting Paper Trays for HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus on Mac!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer supports using different paper trays for various types of paper both for Windows and Mac. However, it seems that there might be a configuration issue on the Mac system that prevents you from selecting between the trays.
Here are steps to check and select the paper tray on your Mac:
Update Printer Drivers:
Make sure that you have the latest printer driver installed for your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. You can download the latest driver from the HP Support page.
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your printer model (HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus) and select your operating system (macOS).
- Download and install the latest driver.
Selecting Paper Trays on Mac:
Print Settings:
- On your Mac, open the document you want to print.
- Click File, then Print.
- In the Print dialog, you might need to click Show Details or a similar option to expand the full print settings.
Paper Tray Selection:
- Look for the dropdown menu titled Paper Type/Quality, Media & Quality, Feed From, or similar.
- In this section, you should be able to select the desired tray (Tray 1 or Tray 2).
Configuring Printer Default Settings:
Additionally, you can set up default settings for your printer to always select the preferred tray:
System Preferences:
- Navigate to System Preferences on your Mac.
- Select Printers & Scanners.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
