Hi,
I've recently bought a HP Laser MFP 137 fnw printer. I've installed all the drivers etc. from the hp website as well as HP Smart Software.
the issue I'm having is I cannot print or scan or anything unless I'm actually online, this is ridiculous as I'm mostly offline.
i had the same issue with a previous inkjet printer and was told this wont be a problem with the new laser printers, well its still the same issue. i should have known better than to buy a HP printer this time around. I've spent all weekend trying to sort this out and been back and forth to supplier endlessly, and even they cannot get it right.

Hello Royj123,
You will have to uninstall the old driver for your printer and install the new full HP driver :
1.19 | 86.3 MB | Sep 13, 2022 | Download |
Here is the procedure to follow : (Very important)
I haven't written to turn on the printer yet, so it's off.
Uninstall the old driver in Control Panel, in "Programs and Features", then remove
all occurrences in "Program" and "X86 Program", in Control Panel, right click on your old printer (If it is still there, chances are that it is no longer there) "Remove", if it is present.
Restart the PC. At the end of the startup, connect the printer to the mains, connect a USB cord on the PC side, on the printer you will connect it during the installation ONLY when asked.
Start installing your printer, by right-clicking on the Setup. EXE of the downloaded driver, click ''installed'' en
as administrator'', let the installation take place, at the end, restart the PC.
To create a shortcut on the Windows desktop, open Control Panel, right-click on your
new printer, create shortcut, on the desktop, yes.
A new shortcut has been created on the Windows desktop.
Turn on your printer, print a test page, by clicking on the new shortcut created.
That's it, your printer is working again.
with this method, my printer has been working for 7 years without problems.
Thank you.
Excellent Day.

Sorry, but after struggling with Hp printer I've eventually given up. Have since found out that Hp printers are always a struggle to set up etc. Even when I took it back to the shop there was a customer saying he also brought his back a long time ago for same reasons and recommended I rather get a Canon or Brother Printer. Got my money back and bought a Canon printer. Wow what a pleasure to use and set up so easy. Windows recognized it immediately and I was printing straight off the bat. My mom had same issues with Hp as well and she also got something else. Sorry but I'll never ever buy an Hp product again.
