When I first bought the printer it worked perfectly for a year until one day when the i would print, it appeared as if it was offline

I tried everything, reseting printing settings, downloading different softwares and it just wont work!! What do I do with it?

I am sorry to hear that your HP Laser 107r printer is showing as offline and is not working with your MacBook, I would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Remove Old Printer Setup

  • Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP Laser 107r → click Remove/Delete.

Reset Printing System 

  • In Printers & Scanners, right‑click (or Control‑click) the printer list.
  • Choose Reset printing system.
  • This clears old drivers and queues.

Download Latest HP Driver / Software

  • Visit HP’s support page for HP Laser 107r.
  • Download the latest HP Easy Start or HP Smart app for macOS.
  • These packages include updated drivers compatible with newer macOS versions.

Reinstall Printer

  • Connect the printer via USB or ensure it’s on the same Wi‑Fi network.
  • Open HP Easy Start / HP Smart → add the printer.
  • If HP Smart doesn’t detect it, add manually in Printers & Scanners → Add Printer.

Update macOS

  • Run Software Update to ensure you have the latest macOS patches.
  • Apple sometimes pushes updated printer drivers through system updates.

Firmware Update

  • In HP Smart → Printer Settings → Advanced Settings.
  • Check for firmware updates and apply them.
