Hi @Nadimmetro
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems you're facing an issue with the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus driver on macOS Sequoia 15.1. Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet 1020 Plus is an older printer model, and HP has not released official macOS drivers for it beyond macOS 10.15 (Catalina). However, there are a few workarounds and solutions you can try to get your printer working with macOS Sequoia 15.1 (which is part of the macOS 15 series).
1. Use Built-In macOS Drivers (AirPrint)
- macOS typically includes AirPrint support for many HP printers, including some LaserJet models, even if they aren't listed in the official driver support list.
- Steps:
- Connect your HP LaserJet 1020 Plus to your Mac.
- Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the "+" button to add a printer.
- Your printer should appear in the list. If it's supported by AirPrint, macOS will automatically select the correct driver (even if HP doesn't provide a driver for this version of macOS).
- Click Add to complete the installation.
If the printer works with AirPrint, you should be able to print documents as normal.
2. Download HP Universal Print Driver
- HP offers a Universal Print Driver that supports a wide range of HP printers, including some older models like the LaserJet 1020 Plus.
- Steps:
- Go to the HP Universal Print Driver for macOS page (or search for the Universal Print Driver for Mac).
- Download the HP Universal Print Driver for macOS (check the version compatibility to ensure it works with macOS Sequoia).
- Install the driver and follow the setup process.
- Once installed, try adding the printer again through Printers & Scanners in System Preferences
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
